The First Best Man
About
Keep your hands off the best man.
A warning from the bride and my best friend, Penny, as the wedding party gathers for a week-long celebration before her big day.
As the maid of honor, I’ve been paired as partners in the wedding games with the best man, J.T. Gibbs. I’ve never met him, but Penny says he’s gorgeous and irresistible. Rich and charismatic. Known for his aversion to commitment and king of the one-night stand.
And I couldn’t be more the opposite.
Yep. I’m a twenty-nine-year-old virgin who’s barely been kissed.
Pathetic, I know.
But the best man proves to be more than his reputation allows, and as the week progresses, I’m finding it harder and harder to heed Penny’s advice. And unbeknownst to me or Penny, her groom gave J.T. the same warning. To keep his hands off me.
But the temptation soon becomes too much to resist. For either of us.
So, we come to an agreement––he’ll be my first, make this a week I won’t soon forget, and then we’ll go our separate ways.
No strings. No regrets.
Should be easy enough, right?
Yeah. Easy.
